Ingrid Sandy has taken the reins as Head Coach of Kilomaîtres Lasalle’s track & field program since 2018, following over 12 years of membership with the club. Starting with administrative duties and transitioning into coaching over six years ago, she now collaborates closely with committee members to cultivate a vibrant team and athletic program, introducing the community to the joys of track and field.
Ingrid’s journey includes invaluable mentorship from the late former head coach, Mike, and diverse coaching experiences across transition, recreational, and federation groups. Through her guidance, athletes have achieved remarkable success at Provincial and National levels. Upholding the team’s values, she also emphasizes education, aiding numerous athletes in securing scholarships to US universities.
Her commitment to coaching excellence is underscored by certifications in Club Coach Sprint and Hurdles, NACAC Continuing Coaches Education Program, Physical Literacy, Performance Coach Training, and sports education certificate in Sports Medicine. Alongside her coaching team, she continues to foster a supportive environment where athletes can flourish, honoring Mike’s legacy while forging new paths forward.

Ayant commencé en tant que mère d’une athlète et puis comme directrice du club d’athlétisme et entraîneure pour les sprints et les haies, elle cumule présentement les fonctions d’entraîneure en chef du club d’athlétisme des Kilomaîtres et de conseillère en athlétisme au sein du Conseil d’administration (CA) du club.
Pendant trois ans, elle avait été membre du CA du club en tant que directrice du club d’athlétisme.
Colin Keith boasts an impressive career spanning over 30 years in the fitness industry. His journey began with coaching track and field at the high school level, where he dedicated eight years before advancing to collegiate coaching. During his tenure at the collegiate level, Colin led teams to victory, securing four championships out of the six years he coached.
Beyond coaching, Colin generously volunteered at the YMCA for the majority of his career, serving as a certified personal trainer and instructor. This extensive experience working with diverse age groups has equipped him with invaluable insights as he juggles his roles as both a strength and conditioning trainer and sprint coach.
Since joining the Kilomaîtres team in 2014, Colin has played a pivotal role in nurturing athletes to achieve their full potential. His dedication has seen several athletes excel on provincial and national stages.
Colin’s collaboration with the head coach has been instrumental in providing athletes with comprehensive support, integrating strength training and speed agility techniques into their training regimen to enhance performance consistently.
Tod Bertrand – he has extensive years of experience with various non-profit organizations throughout Montreal. These include Vanier College Basketball, Collège Saint-Louis Lasalle Basketball, Cité-des-Jeunes-Vaudreuil Pavilion High School Basketball, Little Burgundy Big Brothers organization, Delta Soccer Ste-Dorothée de Laval, that he was involved in since 1989.
His coaching in these various sports and his years as a decathlon athlete have helped him to develop various personal traits that serve in the development of his athletes. This would include but is not limited to mentorship, leadership, education in competition, self-confidence and self-guidance.
As a long distance runner, Zacharie Turgeon performs regularly in 800 m and 1500 m competitions. He made his track and field debut at a very young age.
Zacharie joined the Kilomaîtres LaSalle in 2017, and his results and performance have only improved since then.
In 2020, Zacharie chose to run for the position of Director, Track & Field Club, on the Board of Directors to become even more involved in the development of the club.
